Ever wonder why people like to watch movies or soap operas or “dramatic television?” I used to think “How could anyone come up with such a compelling story that captures so many people’s minds and hearts in such expressive ways?”
I have now come to realize that most of these stories probably come from a person’s life. Even the most incredible miraculous healing stories or he left me for another woman, really does happen.
When we watch these stories on TV or in a movie, our heart either feels for the heartbeak of the the gut wrenching tragedies or laughs at the absurdity of it all.
Or what about the website “FML?” Sure, some of them are probably jokes, witty stories people came up with just to entertain.
But…can you imagine walking a mile in anyone of those character’s shoes?
